Assessment Systems Corporation (aka ASC or Assessment Systems) was founded with the sole purpose of modernizing assessments to create improve educational and career opportunities.

David Weiss, Ph.D., and David Vale, Ph.D. – our founding fathers – were the pioneers of computerized adaptive testing (CAT) and the use of item response theory (IRT). They drove early research in the 1960s and 1970s on the use of AI in assessment and psychometrics, as part of the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota. ASC was founded to bring that technology to a wider range of organizations.
